Non-Refundable Retainer & Payments

A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your event date. This retainer covers administrative fees, confirms and holds your date and will be applied toward the total balance. No date is guaranteed until both the completed contract and retainer are received. All payments made to City Lights Beauty Agency are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of the circumstances. All signed contracts are considered legally binding. Client is responsible for submitting the applicable payment to the invoice related to the contract.

Payment Terms

Payment is due 30 days before the event date for weddings. 7 days before the event date for any other type of booking unless otherwise specified. Late payments may incur a 10% late fee after 1 day. If payment is not made within 30 days of the invoice due date, the unpaid balance may be sent to collections, including the application of daily late fees.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing at least 60 days prior to your service. In addition to forfeiting the non-refundable retainer, a 10% cancellation fee will be applied. Cancellations made within 30 days of the event will result in the full service fee being due. Failure to submit a written cancellation will result in the full invoice amount due. Cancellation policy and fees apply to partial cancellations, and removal of services for group bookings as well.

Rescheduling Policy

Rescheduling requests must be made at least 30 days prior to the event. A rescheduling fee of 50% of the retainer plus a $50 administrative fee will apply. 

Strict No Refund Policy

All payments are final, and we have a strict no-refund policy. This applies to non-refundable retainers, payments made in full, and all other transactions.

Pandemic or Natural Disaster Clause

In the event of a natural disaster or pandemic, the policy is to move the booking date without penalty, loss of payments, or cancellation charges. The new date must be selected within 14 days, and the event must take place within 12 months of the original booking. Please notify us of the new date as soon as possible to begin the transfer process.

Medical & Health Responsibility

Client Health Notification: Clients must notify City Lights Beauty Agency of any known sensitivities, infections, or transmittable diseases that may affect the beauty services. Failure to disclose such information may result in cancellation of services without refund.

Scheduling Conflicts and Emergencies

Substitution Policy:In rare cases of scheduling conflicts or emergencies, City Lights Beauty Agency may assign a different artist or stylist. All replacements will meet the same high standards of quality.

Travel Fees

Travel Fees: On-location services are subject to a travel fee calculated per mile/kilometer driven. Valet parking or tolls may also be applied if applicable.Destination Wedding Services:For destination weddings, travel expenses such as flights, hotel accommodations, and ground transportation will apply, along with a 3-day minimum stay for domestic weddings or a 4-day minimum stay for international events.

On-Location Setup & Breakdown Fee

Setup & Breakdown Fee: An on-location setup and breakdown fee of $100 applies to all bookings under $1,000. This covers setup for professional lighting and organizing materials at your venue.

Additional Artist Fees

Additional Artist Fees: An additional artist fee of $100 will be applied for larger parties or expedited services that require more staff to accommodate.

Touch-Up Services

Hourly Touch-Up Rate: On-location touch-ups are available at an hourly rate of $150. Any time beyond the contracted period will be billed at the same hourly rate.

Creative Freedom

Creative Discretion: Each artist retains full creative freedom to use the techniques, tools, and products that best suit each individual client. Some artists do not work with airbrush makeup, and as part of our creative freedom, we do not require them to offer airbrushing. Instead, artists use what provides the best service and quality for the client. City Lights Beauty Agency selects its artists based on their expertise, not on specific products or methods.

Photo & Video Release

Photo/Video Release: By booking with City Lights Beauty Agency, you grant permission for your images and videos to be used for promotional purposes unless otherwise requested in writing at least 7 days prior to your event.

Service Inclusions

Services Include: Full makeup application, hair styling, and minor adjustments during the scheduled time. Additional services may incur extra charges, including:Clip-in Hair Extension Placement: $50 Blowout for Wet Hair: $95

Gratuity

Gratuity Policy: An 18% minimum gratuity is applied to all services and is split among the entire staff, including administrative personnel. Any additional tips should be given directly to your artist.

Liability Waiver

Liability: City Lights Beauty Agency is not responsible for allergic reactions, infections, or any other medical issues that may occur during or after services. Clients are responsible for ensuring all members of their party are aware of these terms.

Early Morning Fee

Early Morning Fee: For events starting before 8:00 AM, a $100 fee will apply to cover early preparation and travel.

Change Fees

Change Time Fee: A $50 fee applies for any schedule changes after the contract is finalized.Change of Date Fee:Equivalent to the retainer, this fee will be applied if the event date is changed.

Water and Breaks

Artist Comfort: Artists must be provided with bottled water and are entitled to short breaks every 1-2 hours or between each client to ensure proper sanitation and rest.
